With a template, the creator already set everything up for you, so you only need to plug in your data and probably customize the design. You would also need to have the requisite knowledge to use the chosen application. As with other templates, Notion templates for students are pre-made resources meant to lessen the time needed to complete a task.īuilding a course schedule, for example, would require you to manipulate a program such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Access, etc. Notion templates further enhance these benefits, often bringing together a number of components into one convenient digital space. In addition, Notion has a personal free plan for students with a school email address, which allows for unlimited file size upload. There are also database building capabilities, as well as blocks for coding and mathematics built into Notion. For starters, Notion is cloud-based and works seamlessly across multiple devices, allowing access anywhere and anytime. In conjunction with Notion, I use Google calendar to organize my week so check out our other blog for tips on using that.Notion is already rich with features to help students become more organized and productive. I find it’s a much better way to manage time and feel accomplished. And I’ve linked my calendar in the center column so when I click it I’m taken right to the page where I have all my exams and assignments deadlines.Įven in the way I have been utilizing Notion, I think there’s so much more for me to explore and I’m excited to find more ways to benefit from it as a student. I added the pictures (which are actually GIFs so they move!) where I want them to be. I used online templates as inspiration and decided to go for a Studio Ghibli theme. I like this way of journaling because I think putting down what I feel in words helps me figure out my emotions.Īs you can see below, this is my home page where I have my to-do lists and I can see them right when I open Notion. Lastly, I have a page called brain dump where I just have all my thoughts down in bullet points. I like having a visual tool like that to see exactly what my week looks like. It has a free plan for personal use and a free pro plan for students, and they are completely. You can take notes, add tasks, manage long-term projects, collaborate with teams, and much more. I also have a calendar where I input all assignments, deadlines and exams which I check off once I finish (and I must admit it is very satisfying). Notion is a website and app that allows you to create a very large, completely customized, and organized database of whatever you’d like to include. Then I have a list of weekly events so I’m reminded of it every time I look at it.
